Mercury Retrograde in Aries

As I mentioned in Part I, along with the full moon and lunar eclipse on March 14, Mercury began its moonwalk backwards in the sign of Aries.
Aries is a powerful sign that connects with the planet and mythological figure of Mars. Of course, Mars was a warrior, and that fighting spirit is definitely embedded in the sign of Aries.
"I like to think of Aries as that little red Corvette, zooming from zero to sixty in two seconds flat, which translates to acting without thinking."
As a result of that energy, Aries are fiercely loyal, full of leadership gifts and seriously impulsive! I like to think of Aries as that little red Corvette, zooming from zero to sixty in two seconds flat, which translates to acting without thinking.
Now, switching gears to Mercury, we know that speedy, little messenger planet governs communication, commerce, technology and travel. If the little red Corvette doesn’t put on the brakes, there’s a good chance that some or all of these areas will end up in conflict during Mercury’s backwards gymnastics.
So, what does that all mean?
If I had to sum up this Mercury Retrograde, I would say this: Think before you open your mouth. In fact, slow down and think before you do or say anything. With that fiery Aries energy pushing forth, it’s likely that you’ll end up with both feet in your mouth or doing something that you’ll regret for a while.
"In other words, resist the temptation to move through anything quickly."
Mercury retrograde in Aries may have you quick to anger, so practice breathing and mediation daily. It may have you wanting to race to get through something, so breathe again and slow down.
Financially, it could move you to make purchases that aren’t in your best interest or that don’t work the way you want them to.
In other words, resist the temptation to move through anything quickly. Remember, all Mercury retrograde periods are times when we’re encouraged to slow down, to double check our work and to take that extra step to avoid problems and misunderstandings.
Here are five things you can do during this Mercury retrograde:
1. If you have too much pent-up energy, run, walk or do something physical to release the energy.
2. If there’s a large purchase you want to make, research the heck out of it during Mercury retrograde, so you get the best quality item at the best price.
3. If your technology glitches or completely fails, avoid tossing it out the window, and ask for help if you need it.
4. If you’re traveling during this time, just expect delays; plan for them.
5. And if you are going to say or write anything with import, go over it at least three times AND have someone else take a look or listen at it as well.
Mercury retrograde can be challenging, especially in a sign such as Aries, but it can also be managed. Just take a minute and downshift the little red Corvette, put it on cruise control with the sunroof open, and take the time to enjoy the fresh air.
