Stop asking, “Will this work?”
Start asking, “Does this honor me?”
When we’re facing a decision, especially around money, relationships, or career, the first question that usually arises is: Will this work?
Will this job be secure? Will this relationship last? Will this investment pay off? Will this risk succeed? It’s a reasonable question, but it’s not always the wisest one.
“Will this work?” is rooted in outcome. It tries to predict the future before we’ve even chosen the present. A more powerful question is: Does this honor me?
Does this choice respect my energy? Does it align with my values? Does it feel steady in my body? Does it require me to shrink, overextend or override myself?
Something can “work” on paper and still cost you your peace. Something can look promising and still ask you to betray your intuition.
When you shift from outcome to honoring yourself, something changes. You stop chasing guarantees. You start strengthening discernment.
And here’s the gentle truth:
When a decision honors you, it almost always works out better in the long run even if the path unfolds differently than expected. This week, before you ask whether something will succeed, pause. Place a hand on your heart, and ask: Does this honor who I am becoming?
That question rarely leads you wrong.
